Musical Director - Paul Fothergill
Paul studied for a BA in Music at Durham University and for an MA in Musicology at the Julius-Maximillian Universität in Würzburg, Germany, as well as attaining higher performance qualifications in singing, piano and brass.
He is currently head of music at a school in Hertfordshire as well as being active as a musical director and performer in the local area, leading choirs and working with brass bands and other ensembles.
Accompanist - David Meek
David works as a Musical Director & Accompanist for rehearsals, stage shows and concerts, mostly in the Herts, Beds & Bucks area.
A long career in Music Retail began in Harrods of Knightsbridge and ended in Milton Keynes where he was Retail Manager for Chappell of Bond Street. Later he worked for MK Music Service as Singing Leader and teacher of keyboard & piano. David also taught music & led Singing Assemblies at Round Diamond Primary School in Stevenage from 2016 until 2022.
David has worked with many choirs and Am-Dram groups in recent years including English National Opera Community Choir, Welwyn Thalians, Barn Theatre, Digswell Players, Carers in Hertfordshire, Hatfield-Welwyn Community Choir, Sands Singers, Welwyn Wailers, Parkinson's UK, Bucks Vision and Northill Community Choir.
As the link between music and well-being is increasingly recognised, David is providing an increasing number of singalong sessions for those facing health challenges in NHS Dementia Care Units and Care Homes. David's voice and fingers are put to further good use every week as he directs and plays for three daytime community choirs.
